TECH TIP OF THE WEEK
Words of Wisdom
The best fighter is never angry.
~ Lao Tzu
It doesn't feel good to walk through life with anger sitting below the surface. It's hard on you and it's hard on those around you. You have no peace, and peace is what we all want, right? When we operate from a place of peace, we are more resourceful and flexible. We have a better attitude as we deal with life and its challenges. This doesn't mean it isn't appropriate to be angry at times. It is. But think about the amount of energy we all waste on misdirected anger, anger that we can learn to sort through in a healthy way. And remember this: Our students are ever-attentive witnesses. They notice how we deal with anger and we should notice, too.
With something to think about . . .
Remember to take care of yourself.
Consider making a list of three things that make you angry. Determine what you need to let go of and what you need to fight for in a constructive way.
Happy Birthday!
