Grandparents Urgently needed!
Wednesday afternoon is our set date for the history grandparents visit. We are looking for grandparents that would like to present an aspect of their childhood that is different to the present day. The aspects includes school, childhood games, toys, and chores. We encourage them to bring in items or photos to go with their presentation to the children. I am hoping to set up the afternoon in rotations with each grandparent working with a small group of children for 10 minutes rotating through. I have recruited my own grandparents but am very keen to have more so that the activity can work effectively. I have had no volunteers as of yet. If your child’s grandparent is available on Wednesday from 1:50-2:50pm and interested in doing a 10 minutes presentation with the children on an aspect of their childhood please email me their name and what aspect they would like to cover asap. Thank you for your support.
Artopia this Tuesday
Don't forget the art show this Tuesday! Please join us in the Undercover Area on the 2 July 2013 to share in this unique gallery exhibition. We will display our rainforest dioramas and animal models.
Session 1: Years K – 3 from 5 – 6 pm
Session 2: Years 4 – 7 from 6 – 7 pm
Students will be given the opportunity to view the art gallery during the school day. They will be able to vote for their favourite piece of artwork as part of the ‘student’s choice’ award.
The P&C will be holding a sausage sizzle on the evening, so feel free to come along and have dinner as you peruse!
