Explanation and Examples
Malware can include computer virus, trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, adware, and scareware. The Trojan horse is basically a backdoor to your computer because the person that is then controlling it has full access to your computer and files. Scareware is when you are browseing the internet and something comes up and says that you have a virus and tells you to either download or buy fake anti-vrius software.
How to avoid becoming a victim
Make sure you have virus and malware protection software installed on your computer.
Keep software up-to-date.
Make sure the web browser you are using is update.
Don't store any private information on your computer.
