Lamkin Lines
November 2, 2022
From the Principal
November is here and we have already completed ¼ of this school year. Time is certainly going by fast! Thank you very much for reading this information and for your support of Lamkin Elementary. Your involvement makes a tremendous difference and we appreciate your support. Please read below for some important information:
Labeling Items: With the cooler temperatures that will hopefully be in our future, please label sweaters and jackets with your child’s name inside so that we can return when they are in the lost and found. Please also label water bottles and lunch kits. Our lost and found has some items so please encourage your child to look for something that they might have lost while at school. Unclaimed items are donated to local organizations.
All students will participate in Adventure Dash on November 11th. (This is the rescheduled date due to rain on the 28th and please remember that this is a kid only event.) Please ensure that your student is dressed for the dash with tennis shoes. This year, fundraising money will go towards the following initiatives: materials and supplies to be used in classrooms and our library to promote learning as well as playground equipment. (Playground equipment is an expensive investment and might require a 2 year fundraising effort.) Thank you for your efforts… Lamkin will receive $16,367 from our 2022 Adventure Dash!
In October, our students learned about showing integrity during their class meetings, end of day announcements and Launch class (gr K-5). In November, students will learn about gratitude and responsibility.
Mark your calendar:
Veterans Day: Please see the attached information for how we plan to honor Veterans on Nov. 11th at Lamkin.
Milk and Cookies Night at the Bookfair: Please join us from 5:30-7:00pm on Tuesday, November 15th. Wear your pajamas, enjoy milk/cookies and reading books with your student. All money raised supports our Lamkin Library.
Grandparent’s Day will be celebrated on Nov. 18th. Please see the attached information for how we plan to honor Grandparents on Nov. 18th at Lamkin.
We are committed to “Bringing out the Best in our Lamkin Leopards!” Please reach out to Lamkin if we can help answer any questions or if you have celebrations or concerns that you would like to share. Please follow Lamkin on Twitter- @Lamkin Leopards and Instagram- lamkin_leopards.
