A Message from the Principal
Hi Roosevelt-McGrath Families, I often get great questions from parents regarding what they can do to help their child with reading at home. Reading consistently with your child is a fantastic way to build your child's literacy skills. In addition, our District has partnered with Amira Learning, an online, digital reading tutor for your child. It is a great reading tool! Another great parent resource is a new public library service for families, called “TALK: Text and Learn for Kindergarten,” will help build early literacy skills for young children, the Library of Michigan announced today. TALK sends two text messages each week suggesting early literacy activities that parents and caregivers can easily incorporate into daily routines with their children.
Don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher with any questions.
