Weekly Update

Jefferson County Junior High School

Open House

We would like to thank all individuals who logged on and was apart of our Open House. We will continue to work towards communicating with all parents and students through a variety of communication outlets. Our next Monthly Parental Aide Night will be held on the 22nd of September. More information will be given closer to the date.

Assessments

IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT!

We are encouraging all students to make sure that they have taken the iReady beginining of the year assessment (BOY). The window is still open to do so. If you are having internet problems please call or send an email and we will schedule a time and location for your child to complete these assessments. We are working towards identifying your child needs and this information is essential in helping us do so. There are two parts to this assessment which are ELA and Math. Let's make sure that our students are receiving the best quality instruction through effectively identifying needs and begin working towards these needs.

Instruction

Don't forget!

If you haven't picked up your child's laptop cover, iReady book or instructional packet please do visit the Junior High School on Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Instructional Packets

Attendance is being closely monitored through the Zoom sessions, however, if you have identified your lack of internet accessibility with our office, please make sure to have your child complete and return the instructional packets. Upcoming Instructional packets will be distributed on September 17 and October 1.

Zoom, Google Classroom and Canvas

Teachers are working hard to convert to Canvas as our Learning Management System. We would like to thank you for your patience as we work toward this transition. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher for updates.
