Did you know if you help others, it will make you feel good.
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." Winston Churchill.
Want to feel happy? Try helping at home with the dishes, make lunch for your sister or brother, call a friend. Science has shown that when you help others, your body produces endorphins, the same hormones your body makes after a run. Want to read more? Check out the Action for Happiness Organization.
How Can You Help
This year FHS has joined with @StudentsRebuildHungerChallenge. Learn about world hunger. Create a recipe to help cure world hunger. Take a picture of your creative recipe and submit it to Ms. Bayer. Each recipe submitted will be matched with an $8.00 donation for @UNICEF, @MarysMeals and other community-based organizations, up to $700K funded by @Bezos Family Foundation. See Studentsrebuild.org/hunger for details. Use this outline to write your recipe.

Makers With a Cause
Students have created their own Little Pantry Food Exchange Book, decorated placemats for Meals on Wheels recipients. These projects are described in the book Makers With a Cause by Gina Seymour, available as an ebook from Gale.
