Reflection on Lockdown
1. Students should sit on their bottom and in some cases may need to duck down (our older kiddos who are growing).
2. The first task is to shut the door. Since all doors are locked, this is your first line of defense.
3. Turn the lights out quickly to help with the elusion that the room is empty.
Duck, Cover, and Hold on 9/20/18 at 2:30
Duck, Cover, and Hold will take place on 9/20/18 at 2:30
2. Modeling is the best lesson. You can't help your students if you haven't secured yourself.
3. Paras will pick up accounting forms from teams and can bring down any forms that may be along the way like Related Arts.
ROAR Tip
1. Increase responsiveness: Prompt students by calling their name first then asking the question.
2. Increase Listening: Have you considered calling on students to say what another student said. Listening is just as important as talking. Let students know that during the discussion, you will ask several statements to be repeated and/or elaborated on by an another classmate.
3. Letting students know why they are getting the ROAR coupon validates the expected behavior.
4. Sticks: The only person who should know the stick is being moved is the student. Please use discretion about the movement of the sticks. (use a quiet corner, avoid notification of sticks being moved in the hallway or within the earshot of other students.
Reminders
2. All team leaders were given the "unscheduled closing lists" from Synergy. Please update your class transportation lists HERE
