The Gainesville ISD Education Foundation supports our teachers and students through Innovative teaching grants, awarded each December. In the Spring, the Top 10% of the graduating class are recognized at the Shining Stars Gala. Each student is able to pick one educator who has made an impact on their education throughout the years. These Distinguished Educators, along with the students and their families, are invited to attend the Shining Stars Gala and publicly express their heartfelt gratitude to each other. Along with a catered dinner for all in attendance, each student received a $75 Amazon gift card on behalf of the Foundation. For more information on the Foundation, visit gainesvilleisd.org/foundation.
