A Message from Principal Kellert
I would like to give a huge (sorry it's late) shout out to all the parents, families and community members that came out for our family work day to help beautify our wonderful school. Families gave their time to help with landscaping the flower beds, trimming and clearing away branches, hauling trash, painting the sidewalk and sprucing up the Quad and Music Garden.
Respectfully,
Aaron Kellert
Principal, Nichols Hills Enterprise Elementary
A Few Reminders For The New School Year
* Please do not drop off students before 7:45am.
* Students arriving after 8:20am are tardy and must come through the main doors.
* If your child will be absent please call the attendance line by calling the main number 405 587 2583 and press option 1 (options also available in Spanish)
* There is no checkout after 2:45pm. This is a busy time of day and this policy helps ensure a safe school wide dismissal.
* If your child will be going home with a friend by bus, car or walking, both students parents must call the office by 2:30pm, also if your child will be going home a different way than usual, please call the office before 2:30.
Arrival
* At 7:45 each morning, the doors on the EAST side of the building will open for our walkers and car-riders. All students will enter the doors and head to the Cafeteria, regardless of whether they are eating breakfast or not. If you choose to walk your child to the door, please park in the neighborhood as there are barely enough parking spaces for staff members. Please be mindful that there is one crossing guard at Wilshire and McKinley. FOR SECURITY PURPOSES, PARENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WALK STUDENTS THROUGH THE BUILDING NOR WILL THEY BE ABLE TO EAT BREAKFAST WITH STUDENTS.
Dismissal
* Students will be released at 3:10 each day. Walkers will exit the same East Arrival door.
* Please line up down McKinley and have your name placquard on the mirror of your car with your child's name clearly visible. Please be respectful to your fellow parents and do not cut in line!
PE Central
Welcome back Rattlesnakes!! We have a lot planned for this school year with a plethora of equipment and games planned for our time in PE. We are finishing our Recess Activities unit this week with some tagging games.
We will start paddle games next week as we prepare for a lot of different racket activities this year.
Please make sure your student wears proper shoes for their days in PE. NO crocs, boots, sandals, or dress shoes.
Thank you for your support of our program to keep these kids moving and becoming fitter individuals.
Look for different community events to participate in and stay active posted in the newsletter and on the kids news board.
Much Love,
Coach Bow

Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts is a program for boys and girls from Kindergarten through 5th grade designed to prepare them to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Scouts develop new skills and interests, practice sportsmanship and good citizenship, and learn to do their best, not just for themselves but for the community as well.
NHEE's Cub Scout pack is having its first Pack Meeting of the school year this coming Monday, 29 August at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Troop 55 Scout Hut at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church (1212 Bedford Drive, Nichols Hills, OK 73116).
Everyone is welcome to come see what just one part of Scouting is all about. Be sure to bring water, sun protection and a chair (if you have one)! We'll be launching water bottle rockets and recognizing current scouts for their achievements over the summer.
