Science National Honor Society
The SNHS officers (Hannah Brown, Geraldine Darnault, Paige Durham, Andrew Mogge, and John Penna) are busy preparing for an awesome year of encouraging members’ participation in scientific and intellectual practices and increasing their exposure to the STEM career fields.
Monthly meetings with guest speakers will be held in the LMC. Members should check the calendar in the Schoology group for dates. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 20 at 5:30pm in the LMC.
The 5th Annual SNHS Research Symposium is tentatively scheduled for February 21, 2024, with top research projects going on to compete at the SC Region 1 Science Fair on March 15.
Please see Ms. Tidwell in Room 339 for more information.
SNHS Research Branch
Attention, underclassmen!
What is the SNHS Research Branch?
This division of Science National Honors Society is directed towards underclassmen who are interested in beginning the research process and would like to investigate topics they may be passionate about. The branch will allow for collaboration between underclassmen and upperclassmen and will provide many great opportunities to ask questions about conducting research. It’s also perfect for those who are looking forward to taking classes such as AP Research in the future!
The first meeting for the SNHS Research Branch will be held on Wednesday, September 20 in Mrs. Tidwell’s room (339). There will be two meetings--a morning session (8:15-8:30) and an afternoon session (5:00-5:15)--to accommodate everyone’s schedule.
