Bangor West April, 2023
Imagine * Inspire * Innovate
April has arrived!
Hello, West Families!
As we head down the homestretch of the school year, we will be doing our end-of-the-year assessments starting at the end of the month. Below are 5 easy tips to help make sure your child is comfortable and tries their best.
- 1. Make sure your child gets plenty of rest the night before the test.
- 2. On the morning of the test, your child needs to get up in plenty of time so he/she won't feel rushed.
- 3. Feed your child a good breakfast. Research shows that children do better on tests if they have had a good breakfast.
- 4. Do as much as you can to make your child feel comfortable. Try not to say things to make him/her feel more nervous.
- 5. Reassure your child that no matter the outcome of the test you will still love him/her. Encourage them to simply do their best.
Our students have worked very hard throughout the year and it's their time to shine and show our teachers, families, and community the fruits of their labor.
Sincerely,
Craig Pfenninger
Principal Bangor West

Teacher Request for Fall '23
We do consider parent requests when making student placements, however, we cannot honor all requests based on the needs of all students. It has been more challenging over the past few years to meet requests due to the growing number of requests submitted. With this in mind, if you have input regarding your child that you would like us to consider when making class placements for the upcoming school year, please complete the form below and submit it to the office by April 21st. Any request received after the 21st will not be taken into consideration. Thank you!

Just for Kids
Every month our team selects two students who go above and beyond and always follow the WEST way! The students receive a T-shirt, gift card, free book from the book vending machine, and more! This is sponsored by Maier and Associates.
Our Just For Kids winners for March will be announced after spring break!
