Marauder Community,
We are so proud of our LISD students, staff and community for making the first half of this school year so successful. In this newsletter you'll find a few special notes from LISD families recognizing staff members, as well as many stories highlighting the great things happening in our classrooms. This time of year is full of festivities, celebrations and events, so check your child's campus calendar as well as the Marcus High School calendar for things happening in your area. Let's finish the semester strong and we hope you have a wonderful holiday break!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM YOUR PRINCIPALS!
The MHS feeder pattern principals are wishing all of you a happy holiday season!
RECOGNIZE SOMEONE
The Recognize SomeONE submissions are pouring in, and we're sharing a few for teachers in the Marauder community. As a reminder, you can visit LISD.net/recognize any time to submit your own encouragement for LISD staff.
- Mrs. Dennis, Special Education Teacher at MHS | "Mrs. Dennis has been such a blessing to our son for his entire academic career at Marcus. She's been a dedicated liaison for him with his content area teachers and made sure that he had any accommodations needed for him to be successful. Mrs. Dennis is a great communicator and always has time to answer my questions. She always has a smile on her face, and I'm so grateful that she's my son's teacher. She's a gem!"
- Mr. Loub, Theatre Director at Briarhill | "I hear so often about how Mr. Loub makes the classroom so fun yet well managed. He seems to find away to engage each student. My daughter is having so much fun in his class."
- Mrs. Gray, 1st Grade Teacher at Timber Creek ES | "Mrs. Gray is spectacular! She’s always keeping in touch with the parents, sending updates sometimes pictures of our kiddos and making sure that our children are involved in their learning. We love to see the activities they’re doing in class from learning about Hispanic Heritage month and now their fall community service project. Thank you for everything you do Mrs. Gray!
