Update from Mrs. Jones!
I hope your month of June has been off to a great start. I just cannot believe that the school year is nearly over. Where has the time gone? It has been an exciting time at St. Agatha with all events happening and graduation quickly approaching! Thank you so much for all of your support and help with Field Day! It was wonderful to be back at Sellwood Park and enjoy this day together! The weather was absolutely perfect too !
Mrs. Trista Casey, the incoming principal, kindly joined us today for our Field Day. It was such a fun opportunity for her to get to know our wonderful students, teachers/staff, and community. Plus, we had ice cream sandwiches at our station! How fun is that?! :) Attached is an introduction letter from Mrs. Casey. I absolutely love her enthusiasm, passion, and vision for St. Agatha! She is going to be such a wonderful addition to the community.
Also, I am happy to announce that we have a new PE teacher joining us next year, Mr. Szabi Sudy. Mr. Sudy comes to us with eight years of teaching experience. He also has a special education background. He has a true passion for Catholic Education and Physical Education. Next week I will share a letter of introduction from him to all of you!
I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Mrs. Leslie Jones

James and the Giant Peach Viewing Cast Party!!!
On Tuesday June 7th after school ending at 4:30pm we will have a cast and crew viewing part of our production. I BELIEVE it will be in the drama room or cafeteria and I would send out a message if that changed.
*** We need one to 2 parent volunteers to just help crowd control and to help as kids are leaving.***
The event will be lowkey and just a fun way for them all to view it together. There will be pizza and treats to celebrate.
If you give your child permission to attend please rsvp by emailing Ms. Stuckey (firstname.lastname@example.org ) so we know how many students are attending.

PIPS will be PIPPS next school year:
In light of the transition of St. Agatha leadership to a new principal, Fr. Luan, Nicole Sears, and I met to discuss the planning for the PIPS next year. In an effort to bridge the parish and school community the name of PIPS (Parents in Partnership) will now be called Parents in Partnership Parish and School (PIPPS). As planning begins for the upcoming school year the incoming principal will be the chair, Nicole will be the co-chair/parent liaison, and Fr. Luan will be involved as the pastor. It was a wonderful morning filled with exciting conversation on what our events calendar will be like next year and how to bridge the parish and school events to build our beautiful community. Our 2022-2023 school calendar will be available next week.
For additional volunteer opportunities please contact the main office.
All volunteers in the building must be fully vaccinated, have completed CASE training, and cleared a background check. To verify if you are cleared to volunteer in the building contact the main office
