Cell Phone Policy
Students are expected to comply with our district's cell phone policy, AP 5132! At Kenmoor, we have implemented the following protocol:
- Students are reminded daily during morning announcements to power off and store away all cell phone devices. They can store them in a backpack or locker.
- If a student has their device visible, it will be confiscated by an administrator and it will be returned to the student at the end of the school day.
- If the student fails to comply with the cell phone policy and continues to have their cell phone visible, it will be confiscated and a parent or guardian will be required to pick it up from the school.
- If a student continues to disregard the cell phone policy, they will be required to check in their phone with their Administrator in the mornings and check out their phone at the end of each school day.
PBIS
For the month of January, 6th grade students who exhibited positive behavior were celebrated with a block party! DJ Wright had the students and staff dancing and singing down the halls! Grade 7 and 8 students were celebrated with a Game Day event! Students earned free time with peers and teachers outdoors, watching movies, and playing board games! We love to celebrate our students who show up ready to learn each day and display GRAND behavior!
KMS Highlights and Special Events
The KMS orchestra attended a live performance at the Kennedy Center! We pride ourselves on providing our students with learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom!
