A Perfect Match

February 2016

With half of the year now gone, so far unscathed by snow days, we look forward to the next series of exciting events. As busy as February is, keep an eye out for Novel March Madness and Teen Tech Week coming up soon. We are currently taking nominations for Novel March Madness titles.

Get Involved

Check out the Black History Month challenge posted in the hall display and wrapped books waiting for a good reading date. Our space is filled with art from the Senior Quality Art Exhibit as well as Ms. Briggs' class book jacket art project. This week, we will also be showcasing the National History Day exhibits addressing the topic of "Exploration, Encounter, Exchange".

And of course, award-winning author Nancy Werlin will be here on Monday, February 8 to speak with classes. Students are encouraged to drop questions in the Werlin Question Box as well as to add quotes and impressive words to the Werlin Word Wall. You are welcome to join us!

We are exploring a new interface for our databases. Check out the new link here and let us know what you think.

Axis360, BiblioBoard, and EBL have thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, and research material available at your fingertips. Still haven't set up your accounts? Registration is quick and we are happy to walk you through it.

New arrivals: Many books have been added to our collection this month, including Radioactive! How Irene Curie & Lise Meitner revolutionized science and changed the world by Winifred Conklin and Dare to Disappoint: Growing up in Turkey by Özge Samanci.
