Reflecting on Parent Teacher Conferences
I like being able to come in and set with my childs teacher and hear her/his concerns concerning my child or hear what they think are my child strengths and what they are doing in class.
Able to see both classroom teacher and gifted teacher at the same time
I appreciated the teacher's willingness to answer questions and the efficiency of the overall conference.

My Kiddo is a really good student, so not sure with this, but she did LOVE showing me the bigger items displayed in the hall that she created.
We have more understanding of the gifted program and how advanced children are being challenged to learn more.
Awesome examples of work and ways my child is excelling / working.
Teacher is very descriptive of my student's progress and behavior; always positive
The teacher really knew my child.
I loved hearing how ***** is doing well and what areas she's excelling in And I loved when ***** read her narrative to me!
I loved the student led conference.
My son presented his Google slide presentation. I also found that getting to talk to his teacher in person showed me she and I are actually more on the same page than I thought.
Appreciated that both teachers had good things to share and also areas of improvement and how to help our kids.

I was very happy about how prepared and thorough the teacher is. She had read my concerns I sent via email and heard options and answers for me for my son to get all the help he needs to improve.
Very specific and explanatory on the grading and where my child is at on the scale.
Listening to my son describe why he like a quote from Helen Keller and saying it was because he has a kind heart.
Having a selection of work to compare progress. Also seeing 3rd grader star results since 1st grade.
I love that Mr. McCrary has the kiddos prepare their owns slides for conferences!
My daughter is doing really well.
The goals/work on/strengths sheet. That was very helpful. Also, getting a snapshop of the benchmarks for the rest of the year. We liked hearing about what he is like in class and where is stands on the measurables.

Learning about how my child is doing
I thought the teacher did a fantastic job of not only praising my student for his areas of strength but did really well at covering the areas that needed work without making it seem negative. Really fantastic job by Mr. McCrary
I enjoyed hearing about the progress that my child had made. I also really liked the self evaluation that my child did on herself.
Conferences were on time. We got to see our students' work. I especially appreciated the student-led conference with my 5th grader.
I really enjoyed that the students lead the conference with support from the teacher
