The Fall Athletic Season Starts Mon. August 14th!

Registration Details

If you have questions about a certain sport, please start by reaching out to the HEAD COACH at the email address listed below. Head Coaches will have the most up-to-date information. Any other questions can be directed to the Athletics and Activities Department staff listed at the bottom of this email.


First Day of Fall Practices for High School Programs – August 14th

All activity/athletic registration is done online. Visit our Registration Information page. Read through the basic requirements and follow through to the link at the bottom of the page.


Before REGISTRATION, please make sure of the following:

1) Scholar is fully enrolled in Hopkins Schools

2) Copy of physical exam is on file at HHS, WMS, or NMS (must be within the last 3 years)

• If you are unsure about the status of your physical, you can view physical dates by logging in to your family account in the registration system, looking under the Athletics tab within Parent Portal, or you can call/email our office. If you need to submit a new physical, please email it to nicole.hancock@hopkinsschools.org and erin.brown@hopkinsschools.org. **Our office phone/fax are currently down due to construction on-site at the HS. Please email physicals!**

CROSS COUNTRY - 3 levels in grades 6-12 (Middle School, JV & Varsity)

FALL PROGRAM OFFERINGS, MIDDLE SCHOOL (grades 6-8)

First day of fall practices for 6-8th Grade programs – September 11, 2023

-Football, starts 8/14, run by Hopkins Football League

-Cross Country has the option to begin on 8/14, if they choose

-Soccer, co-ed, at WMS & NMS (team(s) will practice at West MS)

-Volleyball, girls at WMS & NMS Structures (field houses)

**Before school starts, you can contact the HS Athletics and Activities Office for info on MS programs.


PARTICIPATION FEES

  • All High School (HS) activities (regardless of grade of student) $230 per activity

  • HS - Reduced lunch qualifiers (must show verification) $115 per activity

  • HS - Free lunch qualifiers (mush show verification) $25 per activity

  • All 6-8 Grade activities $135 per activity

  • 6-8 - Reduced lunch qualifiers $67.50 per activity

  • 6-8 - Free lunch qualifiers $25 per activity


REFUNDS: Refunds will be issued to any athletes who do not make a team. These are processed immediately following the formation of final rosters. Please allow for 1-2 days for the money to return to your account.


Family Max:

1 Student in Activities/Athletics - $575

2 Students in Activities/Athletics - $800

3+ Students in Activities/Athletics - $965


*Although, students receive free school lunches, families still need to complete the Lunch Benefits Application to receive reduced rates for Activities & Athletics. To apply, click the link provided or go to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal and fill out the Meal Benefits Application in the School Nutrition website.


IMPORTANT: Athletes must be signed up prior to attending practice/tryouts. If they show up without having registered, coaches will not allow them to participate, and they will be instructed to call their caregiver or go to the Activities Office to get registered.
