Secondary Math
November 2020
How is online teaching going for you?
Document cameras, Ipads, Desmos, videos - you're using it all! We would love to share your ideas withothers. If you have something to share, or to see what others have to share, check out the Google Classroom link below. A few questions are posted to start a dialog. If you have a question to ask, let us know and we can post that as well.

Important: Reveal Math grading info
Here's an example:Your school rearranges schedules. One section of math is to be deleted and a new one is going to be created at a different period of the day.
When the course gets deleted, the data in it is lost. You will not be able to retrieve the students' work. This is why you want to mark items in Infinite Campus.

CCS ALEKS Guide
Unused ALEKS subscriptions
If you had a student on your roster who no longer appears, that means that student has not been working in that account. You can simply enroll that student again if he/she wants to start working. One of the easiest ways to reenroll a student is to have that student enter your course code and add the class themselves. You can also manually type in the name and ID of students to enroll them. Refer to the guide above.
Reclaiming these licenses has given us an extra 5,000+ licenses.
Entering New Students
Ask the student: Have you been working in ALEKS in another CCS school this year? If the answer is yes, then the curriculum office needs to move the student to your class. The student can continue to work while the move is pending. If a new account gets created for a student, he/she will have to start over and we will lose an extra license.
If the student answers no, then you can enroll the student in one of your classes. Please note that students enrolled in the Digital Academy at the beginning of the year have not had accounts created for them yet.
To enroll new students into your class, please see page 4 in the CCS ALEKS Guide.
In REVEAL/ConnectED:
Students are automatically loaded into Reveal and ConnectED accounts (the textbooks) according to their schedule in Infinite Campus. This can take 24-48 hours. Schedules must be entered correctly in Infinite Campus.
Students never need a login code, redemption code, usernames, or passwords for Reveal Math. Instead, they log into Clever and click the McGraw-Hill button. Remember, they may need to select their school from a drop down menu.
For Number Worlds:
Teachers will enter student rosters themselves. In this case, a code is asked for. For any middle school special education teacher interested in Number Worlds, please contact the curriculum office or your department chair.
