SHS VISION STATEMENT
Stanwood Spartans are united in cultivating character, modeling respect, teaching leadership and connecting to community.
THANKFUL TIMES
We hope you enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday. We are so thankful for all of you and the support you are giving your children during distance learning.
We are also grateful for your support of our new school building. We are counting down the days to actually be able to use the building. This coming week we will move the Performing Arts Center, PE, Athletics, Metal Shop, Wood Shop, and Library. The furniture will start arriving around December 6th. Then the rest of the boxes from our current school will be moved December 16th-18th.

SNOW DAY/INCLEMENT WEATHER UPDATE
If we experience inclement weather on a school day, learning will not stop for Stanwood High School. Every Thursday morning at 7:10 a.m., teachers drop work in their Google Classrooms for the students. The expectation is that students will continue to work on assignments that were already delivered.
**The teachers will hold Google Meets if power and connectivity permits. We will still be able to count the day as a school day as long as students have assignments available.
ATHLETICS
In preparation for the possibility of upcoming sports seasons, the athletic department is opening sign ups online. We are asking that the student chooses one sport in each of the sports seasons they participate in, keeping in mind that these seasons could look different this year. They will need to have an up to date physical (dated within the last two years) on file in the athletic office.
This year’s sports seasons are dependent on many different variables and nothing is guaranteed. However, we need to be prepared for the best case scenario.
