Happy Spring!

Students and staff are very excited to see the Spring weather! One quarter left in the school year before these kiddos become high schoolers! It has been an awesome adventure but we are not done yet. As spring fever sets in please encourage your student to get some outside time so that they can focus while in school!

No late work fourth quarter!

In preparation for our students attending high school next year this quarter students will abide by the no late work policy. We no longer will accept assignments past the due date with the exception of students absent from class. To better prepare students for this transition we have provided planner sheets and have had extensive conversations about how to stay organized. Students wrote down their plan in class for how they would keep up with their assignments. It is better for students to figure out what works for them now before the consequences are more severe as a high schooler.

What's happening in class?

Fourth quarter often seems like our shortest of the entire year. The first 4-5 weeks students will be learning new content then we will begin reviewing information throughout the year in preparation for EOGS. EOG testing and make up testing will occur during the last two full weeks of the school year starting on Wednesday, May 25th.

EOG Proctors needed

With End of Grade Testing quickly approaching we are in need of proctors to assist in EOG Testing. If you would be willing to help out please fill out the google form found below to let us know of the dates and times that you would be available and someone will contact you ASAP.

Raleigh Trip Information

The Raleigh Trip for the Wildcat team is quickly approaching! Our team will be attending the Raleigh trip on the second trip date which is Monday, April 18th. Students attending the trip will be allowed into the building at 6:45am to expedite the departure process.

Reminder that students need to bring their lunch and beverage for lunch unless they have indicated they will be purchasing a bag lunch from the cafeteria. Dinner will be provided. We will return at the middle school no later than 8:30 pm--we encourage parents / guardians to arrive at the middle school in anticipation of our arrival no later than 8:15pm.

Students are responsible for their belongings on the trip. If they choose to bring their iPhones, etc they will need to carry them throughout the day or risk leaving them on the bus unsupervised. Book bags and laptops will NOT be allowed on the trip, it is best if students to do not bring these items to school on this day if they are attending the trip. Students are allowed to bring money for souvenirs but its possession is their responsibility as well as any items purchased while on the trip.

High School Cheerleading Tryouts & Raleigh

Any students trying out for high school cheerleading please know there is a conflict with tryouts and the Raleigh trip. We have made arrangements with the high school cheerleading coach to ensure that students will not be penalized for participating in the Raleigh trip and missing tryouts on April 18th.
