Kansas Digital Literacy Day sponsored by Adobe
Two weeks remain before the second Kansas Digital Literacy Day sponsored by Adobe. This year's event will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the K-State Student Union. In collaboration with Science Communication Week at K-State, the event will feature several presenters from a variety of schools and academic departments from across the state.
With a focus on visual communication, you will learn how your colleagues are using free and subscription-based Adobe software in their classrooms to enhance their students' digital literacy and have a chance to get your hands on some of the latest Adobe software.
Registration is free but required so we can be sure to provide sufficient space and meals — lunch will be provided by Adobe.
If you have any questions about the event, contact Tom Hallaq at thallaq@k-state.edu.

How do your keep track of your Passwords?
And now with fingerprint ID and face ID on devices, remembering them is even more difficult because you seldom use them. For contacts to really work, you have to be diligent about entering new ones.I NEVER say, "I will remember." What I like about it is they are on all my devices and searchable!! So easy!! Even though many are the exact same password, I still enter them!!
OK, so if the contacts thing does not excite you, get one of the little Password notebooks and be diligent about writing them in a notebook. Just find something that works for you. But have them somewhere you can access.
If you're frequently clicking that forgot-password button, this notebook could help curb that habit. With 53 pages, this password notebook includes a calendar and categories for passwords and six spaces for each site in case your account gets hacked and you need to change the password. Having an analog record of passwords is also helpful if your phone or computer gets lost or stolen.

GMail Basics Part 1: An EdPuzzle Flipped Lesson

In this post, I’ll share a little about my production workflow using Google Slides, Screenflow software, YouTube, EdPuzzle, Google Classroom, Seesaw, and Google Sites. Like all my Digital Literacy and Media Literacy lessons, this is shared under a Creative Commons – BY license (CC-BY), so you’re invited / welcome to remix / copy / use this lesson and included resources with your own students and teachers!"
