Holiday time!
Dear parents,
This month the students were very busy. We were rehearsing the songs for the Winter Program. And currently, we are learning vocabulary and cultural facts about these holidays in Spain. There are lots of differences compared with this time of the year in the USA and the kids are very curious.

The 3 magic kings
One of the different things happening in Spain and in other Spanish-Speaking countries is that kids, besides writing letters to Santa Claus (Papá Noel), they write letters to the 3 magic kings (Los Reyes Magos). All the kids write letters to the Magic Kings but only some of them write letters to Santa. There is a big parade where Los 3 Reyes Magos throw candy. The kids enjoyed watching videos about it.
We also created a Xmas tree for the Spanish class!
Every student created a decoration for our special tree. We have several traditions and religions represented on it to have a more inclusive tree. The students were very creative and they did a great job with their "bolas de Navidad" (Xmas balls).
Did you take videos or photos during the Winter Program?
I didn't have the opportunity of taking them, as I was helping my students. They were great! I would love to have some videos or photos from the Spanish performances as a memento. If you got some videos/photos, Could you send them to me, please? I would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much!
