From Mrs. Ringer...
Dear Parents,
For the holidays, beginning immediately and running through December 15th, we will be collecting gently used coats, hats, gloves, & scarves for New Bethany Ministries in Allentown. They service the homeless and those in need from the inner city. Please bring in coats, hats, mittens, gloves and scarves and put in the boxes in the lobby.
We are also participating in Toys for Tots. Please send in a new, unwrapped toy to help make the holidays brighter for a child. All toys will need to be here by Dec. 10th. Let your friends and family know that we are an official drop-off location.

SCHOOL NEWS
E.P.S.D. Foundation Card Design
A few 5th grade students at Shoemaker were asked to design holiday cards to help support the all-new East Penn School District Foundation. When all designs were completed, Foundation Board Members selected one design that would be used for upcoming cards that would be used throughout the entire school district when a donation is made in a teacher's name to the foundation.
On Wednesday, Community Liaison Laura Groh, came to Shoemaker's Art Room to congratulate Colin Wilson with winning the competition! Thank you to all the students who participated and to Colin Wilson of Room 52 for his amazing card design!
Art Club Paints Windows
Mr. Shreck's 5th grade Art Club traveled to the Saucon Valley Promenade's Carmike Movie Theatre last Saturday to share their talents with the community. All 20 students designed concept drawings in class for a mural showcasing upcoming movies Star Wars: Rouge One and the animated movie Sing! These images were then drawn on the windows by Mr. Shreck which took a total of 4 hours. It then took an additional 4 hours for the Art Club and their families to outline and paint in the images.
Well done Art Club!
Canned FOOD DRIVE...we collected 2,067 items! THANK YOU!
