The Mission of Pike Road Schools
Thank you to Saint James United Methodist Church for our Cubbies!
Saint James United Methodist made cubbies for Community One classrooms. Alan Brewer (pictured left) built the cubbies. Scooter Leonard (pictured right) communicated the need for cubbies. Jeff Collier (pictured center) helped deliver the cubbies. We are so appreciative to our friends at Saint James United Methodist Church!
Thank you to Pack 8 Wolf Den 11 for Helping PRS!

Community 7/8 is hosting our first ever Pike Road School’s Career Day. This is a student organized project. The goal for Career Day is for students at Pike Road School to get a better understanding and to be inspired by possible career options. In the morning, we will have speakers who will share about their careers. If you are interested in sharing about your career, please click here to share your information.
We are also looking for volunteer college students (not freshmen) or recent college graduates to speak at this event. They will share about college life and their major. If you are interested or know of college students who might be interested in being apart of this event, please click here to share your information.
We will follow up with you once we review all the information. Thank you.

Come Join us for Breakfast on Fridays!
We are in the beginning stages of launching Pike Road Papas. This is an opportunity for Dads to get involved in the lives of our students. In conjunction with Pike Road Papas, we are inviting families to breakfast every Friday morning. You can eat with your children and with others who tend to gather around visiting Dads and Moms. Come share your family's love with the Pike Road Family.
Breakfast for adults costs $2.50 and breakfast for learners cost $2.00.
Attendance is important at PRS! We are working hard to make PRS a place our learners love to attend, but rare occasions will arise that require additional support from our community.
We have entered into an agreement with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office to support great attendance at PRS, and we want to make sure our families know what to expect.
In order to work with the DA’s office, we are required to communicate with our families on specific occasions. Here is what everyone can expect:
Learners with one unexcused absence will receive a “Notice of Non-compliance with Alabama Compulsory Attendance Law” letter from PRS. This letter simply spells out Alabama’s attendance law as a reminder to families.
Learners with four unexcused absences will receive a letter from the DA’s office.
Learners with seven unexcused absences are considered truant and a parent conference at the school will be required.
As always, families have three days upon returning to school to turn in excuses. Parent written notes will excuse up to ten days of absences per year. After ten parent excuses have been submitted, PRS requires a doctor’s note or other official document to excuse an absence.
If you ever think an absence has been recorded in error or have questions about attendance, please call the office.

These patriots are trying to locate exactly where Pike Road is in the world. As visionaries for our town, we are researching our geographic location. They are working to determine the needs and wants of our town based on its location.
Learners are researching famous visionaries for inspiration. We want to be a part of enhancing the vision of the Town of Pike Road: quality of life, education, planning, and public services.
