Calfornia Science Test (CAST) in April!

All students in grades 5th, 8th, and 10th will be taking the CAST test in the month of April. This year we are "testing the test", meaning the test students are taking will be a pilot and no scores will be produced. As always, we encourage all students to do their best!
All students will be testing during their regular class day, so very little change in schedule will occur. Site testing schedule will be sent home via USPS during Spring Break.
Students are encouraged to take the practice test ahead of time. The practice test can be found on the CAASPP website at caaspp.org. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask your classroom teacher.

Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC)

All students in grades 3rd-8th and 11th will be testing during the first week of May! Please note that site classes will NOT be held during May 1st-5th due to testing. All students will still have assignments for the week and should expect a regular work load.

All testing students are encouraged to get a good nights sleep and have a full breakfast. Also, students are encouraged to bring their own headphones. The site will have headphones for student use, however, students are often more comfortable using their own. Site testing schedule will be sent home via USPS during Spring Break.

We will hold one last SBAC parent training of the school year on April 20th from 6:00-7:30pm. At this time, we will go over all the information about the SBAC so that parents can learn how to support their children for this very important task! We hope you can attend!
