No School for Students on January 17
As communicated prior to Winter Break, ALL of the Walled Lake Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 17. The District will be utilizing this day to better assist staff members across the District on important wellness topics and provide additional Professional Learning. This Mid-Year Update is a district-provided professional development day allotted to school districts by the state of Michigan and can be implemented at the District’s discretion during the school year.
Important Reminders for Families:
- January 5: Special Board of Education Meeting
- January 10: Make-Up Middle School Chromebook Distribution Day
- January 12: Board of Education Meeting
- January 16: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - No School for Students or Staff
- January 16: 24th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration at WL Northern High School starting at 5p.m.
- January 17: No School for Students - Mid-Year Staff Update/Professional Development

MAKEUP Middle School Chromebook distribution day - Jan. 10
We will be offering a MAKEUP Middle School Chromebook distribution day at ESC in Room 900 on Tuesday, January 10 from 7am-9am and 3pm-7pm for any Middle School families still in need of a Chromebook.
