College Station workshop to help parents with social media
The College Station Independent School District will host a social media workshop for parents on Tuesday. The free workshop will last for about an hour and will explain how some common social media platforms are used as well as take questions from parents at the end. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the CSISD boardroom at 1812 Welsh Avenue. Spokesman Chuck Glenewinkel said the district wants to help parents who may be overwhelmed by social media that have become popular with students. "CSISD feels it is important for parents to have an idea of what their children are engaged in on the Internet," Glenewinkel said.

But, he dropped five seconds on Saturday to win the consolation heat, and his time was the sixth fastest time at the meet. Senior Teresa deFigueiredo finished 8th in the 100 butterfly. She swam right at her best time and school records on both days. Both swimmers are also the new school record holders in these events. If you have either one of them in your class, please congratulate them.
