Rock 'n Roll !

What are the types ?
There are 3 types of main rocks on this Earth. We have; igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic.
Igneous
Igneous types of rocks are formed by the cooling and crystalization of molten rock. It's also formed by the melting and solidification of magma. They're either formed outside of the volcano where they quickly cool which is Extrusive and/or deep within the volcano where they take more time to cool and they form large crystals which is Intrusive.
Sedimentary
Sedimentary rocks are formed by cementation and compaction of other rocks. These rocks are formed either on land or in water due to weather and erosion. The main types are Clastic- which are made up of different sized particles; Bioclastic-which are made up of rock and plant remains and Crystalline- which are made up of chemicals that precipitate and fall to the ocean bottom.
Metamorphic
Metamorphic rocks are formed when other rocks are exposed to heat and pressure without melting the magma. Foliation are the alignment of minerals in the metamorphic rocks. Banding is the type of foliation that is the wavy colored rocks. These rocks are usually formed deep within the Earth
Specific Rockers
Specific Rockers
Here we have a specific rock from each category and it's well known description !
Granite (Igneous)
Granite is an igneous rock that has large crystals that can be seen quite easily. These large crystals are formed slowly deep within the volcano so its Intrusive. Its lightly colored with a coarse grain texture. Its also non vesicular, with a low density and a composition of Felsic.
Breccia (Sedimentary)
Breccia is a Sedimentary rock that is inorganically formed. It has a texture of Clastic and has a grain size of mainly pebbles, cobbles, and or boulders embedded in sand, silt, and or clay. Breccia has a composition of mainly quartz, feldspar, and clay minerals that may contain fragments of other rocks and minerals. It also has angular fragments.
Schist (Metamorphic)
Schist is a metamorphic rock with a texture of mineral alignment and foliation. It has the grain size of fine to medium and a composition of mica, quartz, feldspar, amphibole, pyroxene, and garnet. It has the regional metamorphism which means that heat and pressure increase to form this type of rock. It also has mica crystals that are visible from metamorphism of of clay or feldspar.
Rock Cycle
The Rock Cycle is a model showing on how rocks and sediments change over time. They have the external processes which occur on Earth's surface, an example is weathering and erosion. Then it also has internal processes that occur inside of Earth's surface, sor example heat and pressure. As a particle goes though the Rock Cycle from sedimentary to metamorphic , density increases due to an increase in pressurre
