The Wood Stork is not a high level of endangerment but it still is endangered. The dryness in the wet land in Florida and along the coast has taken away the habitat of the wood stork and has caused it to depopulated to the point of in 1990s they though it would be extinct in 2000. In recent years the wood stork is almost of out the endangered species list. People have been working hard like creating sanctuaries for the birds.
