THE LION'S ROAR!
April 1, 2022
A Little ROAR from one of our Lion Trainers!
Dear Families,
Greetings!
It's important for me to give you a few parking lot reminders. This is especially important for Weir Street. We do have neighbors who do not have children who attend Norris, but still need to be able to access their homes. Please be sure to leave their driveways open to access at arrival and dismissal. Also, please ensure that Weir Street is not fully blocked; when waiting for dismissal, please only sit in one line on Weir Street (on the north side of Weir) to allow for traffic to pass. This will not only help our traffic flow, but follows traffic laws and allows our neighbors to get in and out of their driveways. After Spring Break, we will send out our Parking Lot Expectations video for your review!
We are entering Spring Break! Our teachers are going to take a much-deserved week off, so emails and phone calls will be returned after April 11th.
Have a wonderful weekend with your families!

SPRING TESTING
Dear Parents / Guardians,
As a reminder, we will be starting spring testing. This spring there will be a new state test, “NSCAS Growth.” NSCAS Growth, which is a blend of MAP Growth and NSCAS, assesses students in grades 3 - 8 in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The Nebraska Department of Education also tests Science in grades 5 and 8.
In order to measure growth within the school year, this spring we will also be giving the MAP Growth assessment we administered in Fall and Winter. In future years, only NSCAS Growth will be administered to students in grades 3-8.
We will send home the student reports for both tests when available.
Please reach out with any questions.
Sincerely,
Colleen Ballard
