This poem has a lot of imagery, it even starts off describing this beautiful city that the poet used to live in. Whike he lived there, he was always cooped up ans never really got to explore that often so he relied on the beauty of the city for his happiness. As he revisits this place, he remembers the sound of the mountain springs, and the steep and lofty cliffs.
tone
The tone in this poem is tranquil, contemplative and filled with longing for his past.
