Montelongo's Message
What is Hurricane Huddle?
The purpose of this newsletter is to provide updates regarding online learning and provide parents tips for supporting their child’s education. We will work to keep everyone informed about any changes to online learning, COVID19 news, and all pertinent information as it pertains to HHS. Hilda Salinas, Assistant Principal, will serve as a point of contact if there are any questions and will provide guidance to all parents. We are excited about the start of school and look forward to working with you and your student(s) virtually and face-to-face!

On-Line Verification Update: Phase 1 and Phase 2
Hurricane Parents,
We are happy to say that after the Phase 1 online enrollment verification process, Hightower High School was able to have 82% of our Hightower families completed the verification process. I know many of you received our automated phone message and I apologized to those who completed the process but continued to receive calls. EVERYONE in the District is bragging about CANE NATION. For those families who completed verification and are in need of a device, you are able to pick up your device beginning August 5th - August 14th (No Weekends) 1:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
Our aim is to reach 100%. Beginning Friday, August 7th at 6:00 am Phase 2 online enrollment verification will re-open only for the families that have not verified and will close again on Wednesday, August 12th, at midnight. The district will post this message on the district’s website to the community. Any family that needs a device after completing Phase 2 online verification will be able to pick up the device in Phase 2 of the deployment between August 17th to August 28th.
