Back to School Edition- August 2022
Principal's Message
Comet Nation,
On behalf of the staff at Steele High School, I would like to welcome you to the up and coming 2022-2023 school year!
The Class of 2026 will be welcomed to Marion L. Steele High School at Freshman Orientation on August 19th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
We hope to see many of you at our Open House on August 22nd from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. I would highly encourage parents of the class of 2026 and new students to attend an informational session which will begin promptly at 6:00 pm in the Cafetorium. Following the presentation, students and families will have the opportunity to tour the building and meet school staff. Additionally, office staff will be available to assist families with Returning Student Registration.
Chromebook distribution for seniors, juniors, and sophomores will occur on the first day of school this year. The class of 2026 will receive their Chromebooks at Freshman Orientation.
As we prepare for the start of a new school year, feel free to contact the main office with any specific questions, comments, or concerns. Go Comets!
~Joe Tellier
Important Information
Returning Student Registration
All emergency, medical, and contact information for all K-12 students will be collected through the Returning Student Registration process in your PowerSchool Parent Portal account at the start of each school year.
This information must be completed by parents/guardians in order for students to receive their school-issued Chromebook.
To complete the process, please go to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account, click on the Returning Student Registration link in the left menu, and follow the prompts. For step-by-step directions, please refer to this Online Returning Student Registration Directions document.
If you completed this process last year, most of your child's emergency and contact information will be pre-filled on this year's form. You will simply need to check, verify, and update any changes.
Thank you in advance for updating your returning student's information as soon as possible.
Breakfast & Lunch
Breakfast and lunch will be available to all students; however, per United States Department of Agriculture, School Meals will no longer be free for all students.
