The Colisseum
Rome has many secrets that can be kept for many ages, possibly a millenium. Why they made it like they did, why there are causeway's, why it was the only way they did execuitions, why they put sand iinside of it, why they did all these things. And we will never know why they built it in the first place.
The Colisseum of Rome, one of the most spectacular things in the world. It's also one of the world wonders. The Colisseum had many hidden secrets and unknown facts. The animals they used to kill gladiators were from far and wide, the underground system was built by people from no-where near Rome, and they even used boats in the spectacles gladiator's gave off, allow me to explain. The building of the Colisseum was in fact built so it could be flooded, in a good way. They would've closed off the
They would've closed off the entrances and opened a causeway to allow water to flood in, they would allow it to go high enough so it would just barely touch the lower audiences feet. The animals they brought were mostly from Rome however they also brought 1 or 2 animals from other countries. These animals included Ostriches, Boars, Bears, Wolves, etc. The underground system that was built acted as a holding place for slaves, some of the animals, and gladiators, it wasn't that large only was about 4 miles wide. "We will never truly know everything about the Colisseum and while we are still trying to learn ancient Rome's secrets we definitly never will find out everything and it does in fact bother us."
