South Grove Intermediate School
News and Notes for December
From Mrs. Reid
Please continue to send in monetary donations for our school wide Christmas project. Each classroom sponsors a family and helps provide gifts to families in need of some extra cheer. Mrs. Keeley shared information about this program. All donations need to be turned in by December 17th. Please email or contact your child's teacher or Mrs. Keeley (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like more information.
I wanted to share with you a special note our school received in November:
Mrs. Reid my name is Scott Peper. I am the co-grocery manager at Servants Heart food pantry. I wanted to thank you for the generous amount of food your school donated to Servants Heart. We haven't weighed the food yet, but we think it is almost 2000 pounds. This is the busiest time of year for us and this will go a long to helping those in need. Your students should be proud of what they have done for those in need. Hopefully it will be a good learning experience. Thanks again.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Candy Grams Support Servants Heart
Parents and grandparents can also purchase candy grams by sending in money to Mrs. Keeley or by stopping in the office.
Candy grams will also be on sale during the 5th grade Christmas program on December 8th.
This helps fund the Christmas shopping for the families South Grove sponsors. Thanks for your support!
