Principal's
I think the first week back to school with 9-12 students was great. I know we have a few things to work on but as a whole, I heard positive comments. Read the article in the SI if you haven't already

COVID Quarantine for Athletes
The decision made (and can change due to circumstances per Marcie):
7 days quarantine with a NEGATIVE COVID-19 test result, fever free for 24 hours (test must be taken on the 5th day of quarantine)- students may return to classroom instructions on day 8.
10 days quarantine with NO symptoms of COVID-19 and fever free for 24 hours- students may return to skills development and classroom instructions on day 11.
14 days quarantine with NO symptoms and fever free for 24 hours- students may return to contest and classroom instructions on day 15.
New letters will be created by Marcie/nurses for athletes.
NOTE: LHS and HHS if you have students who have not heard from SCHD as of today, please send the list of students to Marcie and she will work on clearing them for the 7 or 10 day quarantine. We will begin our own process for clearing close contacts/exposures once we receive the letterhead from SCHD. ALL positive cases will be cleared by SCHD.
COVID REMINDERS!!!
Temp checks need to be completed every morning before entering classrooms.
COVID questions for clearance need to be asked daily before any classes begin.
MASK must cover the nose and mouth, not just the chin!!
Curriculum and Instruction
Math Sets will be utilized in math classes this semester. Ms. Poper surveyed math teachers and I support their decision as a method of trying to recognize learning gaps as they assess and continue to teach. We do have the option to assess with Check-Ins, as in the past. Check-Ins will be open for the entire semester. We can discuss this more at Jan. 28 meeting.
Eighty-eight percent of our high school students have completed EOCs. We do not know what will take place for the 95% participation rule with accountability, so we must make sure those who have not tested, test soon, and/or will have a marker in June for 2nd semester.
Edmentum platform discussion with ICs should be in progress. Please take advantage of this resource for ACT and Workkeys. Teachers can also use this resource for Tier I, II, III students. MTSS interventions are required.
ACT will be Feb. 23, 2021!!!
