Second Semester Off to a Good Start
Team Columbia:
We had a great start back to kick off the second semester with an extra day off! Continue to capitalize on the fresh start of the new semester.
Remember, focus on quality instruction. As we discussed in data meetings, remember, frame your lesson and properly close it out by summarizing the days lesson via an exit slip, review of the essential question or objectives, or other form of formative assessment. Also, work in the power zone. Make sure you circulate around to assist students where possible and to ensure students remain on task. Moreover, ensure that you infuse higher order thinking questions via DOK Levels one and two. Please refer to our DOK Library in one drive. Lastly, let's implement a writing component once a week in your classes.
Enjoy this week of the of teaching and learning!!!
