Dingle Elementary - December 2019
Helping Your Child Deal With Stress
1. Stop overscheduling - Rembember children need downtime to rejuvenate.
2. Make time for play - riding bikes, wrestling, going on a walk.
3. Make sleep a priority - and keep electronics out of bedrooms
4. Manage your own stress - anxiety is contagious - show your kids how to relax
5. Make mornings calmer - Establish a morning routine and set out clothes and backpack the night before.
6. Prepare your kids to deal with mistakes - Help your child to figure out the next steps after a mistake, how to fix it, move on, or make amends.
