Learning, Honoring, & Celebrating Together

November is Native American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month and we look forward to our month long opportunity to learn and celebrate. Across the coming weeks, we will pause to honor the diverse cultures, traditions, histories and contributions of Native Americans and Native Alaskan Americans.

Last year, our learning and honoring included the Indigenous Peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast including the Tulalip and Coast Salish. We studied languages, arts, traditions, and cultures and will build upon that learning this year, as a school. We invite you to continue this learning at home and have include a few easy-to-access resources below.

Thank you for your shared commitment as we celebrate, learn, and grow as a community.

As a school, we honor and thank the men and women that have served and our currently serving our country in our Armed Forces. Veterans Day is Friday, November 11th and, campus wide, we will seek to honor our Veterans across the weeks that lead up to this important day.

If you or a loved one is a veteran, having served our county through military service, please know that we are appreciative and honor your service, sacrifice, and commitment. As we have discussed as a school, veterans are true ("real life") heroes, having made sacrifices to keep us all safe and secure. As we prepare for a season of gratitude, please know how thankful we are for all of the veterans who have served our county.

Transitional Kindergarten Beings in January!

Transitional Kindergarten is scheduled to return to our Everett Public Schools in late January. This is an outstanding pre-kindergarten opportunity for both students and families. At this time, we do not yet know classroom locations or if we will be able to offer Transitional Kindergarten on our home, Monroe campus. That noted, we encourage any/all interested families to consider this forthcoming opportunity.

To quality, students will need to be five years old by this coming August 31st, scheduled to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2023, living within the boundaries of our Everett Public Schools, not currently attending an early learning program, and demonstrate a social emotional and/or academic need for such a program.

Sign-ups officially begin next week, Tuesday, November 1st. For more information, please click the below links for additional Transitional Kindergarten information (English/Spanish)

See Anything You Recognize?

With the change in temperatures comes the annual journey of jackets and sweatshirts to our Lost & Found. Below is a snapshot of our Lost & Found as of this morning. Please scan to see if you can spot anything that may have gone missing across the recent weeks.

We will roll our racks to the front of our school for next week's teacher/family conferences. This out-front location will become a practice every Friday so please feel free to visit if an article of clothing has gone missing.

If at anytime you would like to check our Lost & Found (located near the playground entry/exit), please stop by our office at your convenience. Thank you for your efforts in helping currently lost items return home again.
