** One week for teacher appreciation week is certainly not long enough to thank and honor all you do. I hope you will take a moment to read....A word of thanks
OTES evaluations are coming to a close. However, they are not officially finished until you PIN everything under your evaluation. Please take notice of all categories. If the word 'pending' shows up, you need to pin. Any questions, please see your evaluator.

job well done leading your students and providing them with this great opportunity outside our walls!
The Winning Team of designers for Mercy Hospital Anderson PBL project. Great job ladies! The hospital was blown away with their ideas.
New construction tour
The families were given a tour of the construction of the hospital. 60 new private rooms will be added, new respite care and addition to the labor and delivery floor.
Where are YOU gonna be this Saturday, May 9, Nagel Nation?! We are working for our greatest numbers yet at the FH5K this weekend. If you haven't done so, please go to www.foresthills5k.com and register for FREE by using the promo code foresthills2015. Also, encourage your students to let us know in the cafeteria if they have registered. They will be given a ticket and then will join either Team Vandermeer/O'Brien or Team Bailey/Hartman. All students who register and join a team will have a chance to win an iTunes gift card.
SuperHawks Talent Show
Advisory reps are asked to talk to teams this week about the talent show. We are asking teams to submit at least two performances to Carolyn by Wed. May 21. Encourage your students to show their skills!
CELEBRATION DAY RECOGNITION
Tradition continues! On June 2, we will recognize students for their performance in the classroom. Please place your individual student selection on the spreadsheet. You choice does not have to be the TOP academic achiever in your content, but should be a high-achieving student that is an all-around role model for others in the classroom.
Celebration names are due on this spreadsheet by May 15. Cheri will then go to work ordering their awards. Let me know if you have questions. Thank you.
The Bailey Special
#1: Congratulations! We have been selected by the state for a PARCC Audit! Yes! We may have a visitor from the state check us out sometime this week (most likely will want to visit a test session and see how smoothly our operation is flowing). When I know, you'll know. In the meantime, keep up the stellar work!
#1a: PARCC Link for updates and calendar...take special note of the AIR 8th grade date changes!
#1b: For those of us yet to complete Unit 2 of PARCC...there is a short survey after EACH (ELA and Math) test that students need to complete before they can submit final answers! It shows up as "Unit 3" after students complete the 2nd Unit. No Seal Code is needed for the survey...quick and easy.
*Students should not take the survey if they still need to makeup a session. If they need to makeup an earlier test, they simply LOG OUT, SAVE and RETURN LATER. I'll have them take the survey in a makeup session.
#1c: I'm getting a low turnout on the 4th checklist item (sticker on your large testing folder). I'd love to get more perspectives on this debate.
#3: Check out the Athletics Webpage for schedules and updates. We have Home softball games on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 4:30pm. Tennis plays at Home (LTC at Lunken) on Wednesday and Thursday. Track heads to Milford and Loveland on Thursday and the ECC Track and Field Championship is coming up quickly on Monday, May 11, at Withrow High School!
#4: Finally, follow us on Twitter! @nagelathletics
