High School Calendar
The high school calendar has a couple of differences when compared to the district calendar. These differences are due to end of semester exams and students' ability to exempt exams if they meet certain criteria.
Semester exam dates are December 18th and 19th and May 20th and 21st. These dates are early release dates with an 8:05 start time (this includes a tutorial period) and an 11:45 end time.
How are semester exemptions determined?
- have no more than 3 absences in the class (this includes excused absences and personal days, school related absences are not counted against student attendance)
- maintain an 85 or above semester average
- have no more than 4 tardies for the class the student would like to exempt
Students who have perfect attendance and at least a 70 semester average will receive an exemption card that they can use on the class of their choice.
*Accelerated and Pre-AP Courses: students will not be required to take a semester exam if they meet the grade and attendance guidelines
*Dual Credit Courses: students must follow the course syllabus semester exam guidelines

Lubbock-Cooper High School Theatre Production
Here is a brief synopsis:
"The creative team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (in which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious "Stage Door Slasher") assemble for a backer's audition of their new show at the Westchester estate of a wealthy "angel" and get snowed in by a blizzard. The house is replete with sliding panels, secret passageways, and a German maid who is apparently four different people - all of which figure diabolically in the comic mayhem that follows when the infamous "slasher" makes his reappearance and strikes again!!"
