Family Programs
Circus Dynamics
Wednesday, July 10, 11 a.m., Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: 4-10 years old
Circus Dynamics offers a fast paced, audience interactive, and highly technically skilled circus variety show. This performance will include spaced-themed juggling and balloons. After the show, children will learn to make their own balloon animal.
Family Geocaching
Thursday, July 11, 10 a.m., Sprague Farm, Pole#33, Pine Orchard Road, Chepachet
Age Level: Parent/Guardian with Child – Ages 5 and up
Treasure hunters wanted! Families will explore beautiful walking trails in Glocester while searching for hidden containers. All you need are good walking shoes, a well-charged cell phone, and the Geocaching app.Sunset Family Yoga
Thursday, July 11 and July 25, 6:30 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: All Ages
Local yoga instructor, Brenda Ferry, will lead families through basic yoga poses, breathing techniques, and more. End your busy summer day by aligning your chakras and learning relaxation and concentration. BYO mat if you have one, but extra mats will be available to borrow. Note: One mat space is reserved for each family.

Mark your spot in your Summer Reading Book! Visit our craft table in the Children’s Room and color some aliens, rockets, or planets to make a Blast Off Bookmark!
PJ Story Time with Caregiver
Tuesday, July 9 and July 16, 6:30 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: 3½ – 6 years old
Wear your PJs to our evening summer Story Time series! On July 9, there will be a special visit from the Audubon Society of Rhode Island and on July 16, Miss Ann will have a final story time with craft program.
Build a Model Rocket
Monday, July 29, 1 p.m., Harmony Library and Winsor Park
Age Level: Ages 10 years old and up with a Caregiver (required)
Build your own model rocket then travel to a nearby park to launch it! This free program includes all materials but has limited enrollment so sign up quickly.
Tween/Teen Summer Reading Programs
Mobile Quest Adventure
Monday, July 8, 2:30 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: Ages 10 and up
This hands-on program will have students participate in the Intergalactic STEAM Space Station Adventure.
Leave Your Mark
Tuesday, July 9, 2 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Ages 10 and up
Tweens and teens are invited to design and paint a library bookend! Your creation will be used at both Glocester Manton Library and Harmony Library, making your mark on the library for years to come!
Adult Summer Reading Programs
Wednesday, July 17, 11 a.m., Harmony Library
Adults and teens (14 years old and older) will learn how to paint summer-themed designs on a candy jar. No special skills are required, and all materials will be provided for this free workshop.
Writers' Support Group
Thursday, July 18, 6 p.m., Harmony Library
Read and share your personal projects at this monthly meeting. This adult group is open to writers in all genres. Registration is not necessary.

Glocester Libraries’ Walking Club (Walk 3)
Wednesday, July 3, 8 a.m., Sprague Farm
Sprague Farm hosts majestic stone walls and numerous trails. For our first visit to Sprague Farm this summer, we will visit a meticulously restored cemetery. (We will meet at the parking lot on Pine Orchard Road.)
Glocester Libraries’ Walking Club (Walk 4)
Wednesday, July 10, 8 a.m., Steere Hill Conservation Area
Steere Hill offers several hundred acres of gentle slopes, vernal pools, miles of stone walls, and scenic ledge vistas. For this first visit, we will hike the Ridge and Stone Dam Trails. (We will meet at the dirt parking lot directly on Putnam Pike – across from the Harmony Post Office.)
Glocester Libraries’ Walking Club (Walk 5)
Wednesday, July 17, 8 a.m., Heritage Park
Acquired in 1967, Heritage Park offers 115 acres of trails crossing several streams and passing by a shepherd’s hut. We will climb Steere Hill and then head back along the Outer Loop Trail and cross a small wooden bridge. (We will meet at the parking lot on Chestnut Oak Road.)
Glocester Libraries’ Walking Club (Walk 6)
Wednesday, July 24, 8 a.m., Pulaski Park at 151 Pulaski Road (just off Putnam Pike)
We will revisit Pulaski Park this year and walk along the rustic gravel road that winds around the limits of the park crossing over a quaint covered bridge halfway through out hike. Towards the end of the walk, we will enjoy views of lovely Peck Pond.
Glocester Libraries’ Walking Club (Walk 7)
Wednesday, July 31, 8 a.m., Sprague Farm. (We will meet at the parking lot for Sprague Farm on Pine Orchard Road.) For our second walk at this Glocester Land Trust property, we will pass by the stone foundations of two farmsteads on the Sprague Trail, continue along a scenic ridge, and then turn onto the Colonel Anthony Trail.

Sign up for instruction in the basics of computer use, email, and Internet searching. If you want to work on Microsoft Office 2016, including Word, PowerPoint, or basic Excel, let us know when you register.
