DACA NEWS
The Supreme Court will hear the case on November 12, 2019 to decide on the future of DACA.
NO DECISION WILL HAPPEN TODAY
A final decision on DACA from the Supreme Court could come at the latest by June 2020.

Skyline College Legal Clinic
Skyline College has a free immigration legal clinic, where students and members of the community can get free legal information on various immigration-related questions. Meetings are confidential and are held in the DREAM Center (Building 1, Room 219).
Immigrants Rising Entrepreneurship Fund
The Fund showcases the talents of undocumented young people and amplifies the positive impact of their work. We offer two different types of grants:
- Kickstarter Grants: Short-term, non-renewable grants of up to $2,000.
- Fellowship Grants: One-year grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.
Grantees will be offered support and guidance from professional advisors, join a national network of undocumented freelancers and entrepreneurs, and get social media exposure for their projects.

Scholarships
The Dream. Us Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
You are eligible to apply for our scholarship if you meet the following eligibility criteria (and the additional eligibility criteria set forth below):
You must have current DACA or TPS or certify that you meet the following immigration eligibility criteria:
- Came to the United States before the age of 16;
- Have continuously resided in the United States since November 1, 2014 up to the present time and have had no lawful status;
- Are currently in high school or have graduated from a United States high school or obtained a general education development (GED) certificate from a United States Program; and
- Have not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors in the categories which would have disqualified you for DACA, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.

Alma Exley Scholarship
Eligibility:
Sophomore Status – Be a current student at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution with sophomore status by January 1, 2020, or a recent graduate (since spring 2015).
Fall College Enrollment– Plan to enroll full-time in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in fall 2020.
GPA– Have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.50 or better on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).

The Science Ambassador Scholarship
A full–tuition scholarship for a woman in science, technology, engineering, or math.
HOW TO APPLY
Film a three–minute video of yourself explaining a STEM topic you're passionate about. You must be a high school senior or an undergraduate college student to apply.
Deadline: December 9th, 2019
Soroptimist Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Motivated to achieve education and career goals
- Does not have a graduate degree
- Provides the primary financial support for yourself and your dependents. Dependents can include children, spouse, partner, siblings and/or parent
- Has a Social Security number or Tax ID number (ITIN) for tax purposes only
