Riverview Report

Principal's Newsletter

Dear Riverview Families,

I want to officially welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! I can’t believe how fast summer has flown by. We are ready to start another exciting and successful year here at Riverview Elementary. We have been busy throughout the summer here at the school. Everything is progressing smoothly to a great opening of school on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. All Kindergarten students will begin on Wednesday, August 24th.

Introduction of our new teachers and staff – Each year we work with new interns through the BYU Partnership and SUU. This year we are excited to begin the new year with our intern Mrs. TyLynne Jumonville in 4th grade. We have also hired the following teachers and staff: Mrs. Wendy Tye in Kindergarten, Miss. Jessica Pierce in 1st grade, Miss. Larissa Larson in 2nd grade, Mrs. Savannah Barker in 3rd grade, Mr. Keith Staples in 5th grade, Mrs. Jessica Hodges and Mrs. Lynette Geary in Resource, Miss. Jayden Draper in ACC, Ms. Rhiannon Bradley as an SLP, Miss. Jordan Hileman as school psychologist, Mrs. Maren Broadbear as Literacy Coach, Mrs. Cecilee Cannon as our music teacher, Mrs. Stacie Peterson as a pre-school technician, and Mrs. Kim Wise as an instructional technician. We feel so fortunate to have these amazing people join our Riverview Family.

I’d like to invite you to soon visit our school’s website. This will serve as a resource tool for all upcoming events, student/parent handbook, important reminders, and you can catch up with school news. You can also like our Instagram and Facebook to get up-to-date information as it happens. I will also be sending out a monthly newsletter with important information called, “Riverview Report.” We encourage our entire Riverview community to demonstrate our pride by continuing to wear our school colors on Fridays! We will incorporate many other school spirit events, and we will continue to use iCampus for quickly getting out information of upcoming events or emergencies.

In closing, please enjoy the remaining days of summer. I am looking forward to meeting you on our first day of school. Please join us for our drop-in Open House on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 from 2:30 until 4:00 PM.

Sincerely,

Ms. Bristi Poulson

Riverview Elementary Principal

Reminder to Pay Donations

We wanted to send a reminder about paying donations for the coming year. To date, our donations are significantly down and we understand that our new system isn't as user friendly or convenient as it was in years past.

The school asks parents for a $25 donation per child to cover the cost of all school supplies, field trips, assemblies, birthday gifts, Ram Rewards, student of the month awards, school activities and more! Most importantly, we give a portion of the donation money to grade level teams to cover additional field trips, supplies and materials. The donation money goes directly to your student and we will never ask you to send additional money for supplies or field trips.

If you were unable to pay or simply forgot, you can still log on to your iCampus account, click on "FEES" and pay the donation. If you would like to give more than the suggested $25, click directly in the amount window and type in the amount you would like to donate instead.

Another great option is to bring a check or cash directly to the office at our Open House and Mrs. Sullivan will print a receipt for your records. Thank you so much for your help in supporting our teachers and your students so we can continue the many fun rewards and activities we sponsor throughout the year.
