President's Prelude

Welcome to another year of supporting our AMAZING band students and directors here in the SPASD.

What this year has in store is up in the air; as are most things these days, BUT we know that we MUST be prepared should things return to "normal" at some point.

We NEED/MUST have YOUR help. Whether you give us just one hour of time this year or take on a greater role; know that your child and ALL of their band friends are the beneficiaries of that effort. Funds still must be raised, events must have contingent plans in place and our kids must have reasons to play their instruments and grow beyond the notes.

Open your google calendars and get our first general meeting date of 2020-21 on your schedule, listed immediately below. Looking forward to seeing everyone virtually then.

General Band Booster Meeting

Sunday, Oct. 18th, 5:30pm

This is an online event.

Mark your calendar! All are invited to attend via Zoom

We will send a Zoom link prior to the meeting via email and Facebook (Sun Prairie Band Boosters)

Agenda items likely will include election of new board members (details in next section), discussion on fundraising and event opportunities for fall and beyond, and hopefully visual meeting of some of the new band directors in the district.

RSVPs are enabled for this event.

Election Time

We currently have two Executive Board seats open, Vice President and Treasurer. It's a two year commitment that goes really fast. It's a great opportunity to support the band program.

Email Andy at if you have questions or are interested in one of the two positions.

Elections will be held on October 18th during the Band Booster meeting.

Vice President: Overseas Fundraising, assists the President, and stays in communication with the Committee Chairs. Second year you move up to the President Role.

Treasurer: Keeps an accurate record of all receipts and disbursements, showing each activity separately, as well as a complete record of all funds. The Ledger Keeper assists closely with the tasks of the Treasurer.

We have many other opportunities to volunteer throughout the year. Here is the link to a complete list of the Sun Prairie Band Booster Executive Team and current Committee Chairs.
