Martin Garcia (Current MPA Student) is now Study Abroad Advisor in the Office of Education Abroad at Villanova University in Villanova, PA.
Ralph Gigliotti (MPA '11 and MPA Adjunct Faculty Member) recently co-authored two new journal articles titled "Are higher education institutions and their leadership needs unique? Vertical and horizontal perspectives" in the Higher Education Review, 49(3), 27-52 and "Racial incidents at the University of Missouri: The value of leadership communication and stakeholder relationships" in the International Journal of Business Communication, 54(2), 199-209.
Sean Halbom (MPA '16) started a pilot program providing a shuttle service for Montgomery County veterans seeking care at the VA and commented "while many veterans are eligible for low-cost or no-cost healthcare, many could not physically get to their appointments because of transportation barriers. That pilot program has since grown into a reliable service that transported veterans to over 500 appointments in 2017.” To view coverage of the program on Channel 6, ABC News please click here.

Jonathan Kassa (MPA '09) was appointed School Board Director of North Penn School District in Landsdale, PA.
Chris Kotwicki (Current MPA Studnet) was awarded a Charlie Sterner Internship from APMM for Spring 2018. Chris will be interning at Upper Chichester Township, PA this Spring 2018.
Brian McFadden (MPA '14) is now Grants Manager at Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) in Philadelphia, PA.

- Graduate students planning to graduate at the end of Summer 2018 (conferral date of degree: September 1, 2018) may participate in the Commencement ceremony in May by completing the form entitled “Permission to Participate in May Commencement.” Please open the link here, then scroll to the paragraph entitled “What If I Don’t Finish My Requirements Until Summer or Fall?” Please be sure to submit the form to your program director by no later than March 31st.
- PLEASE NOTE: The Permission to Participate in May Commencement Form is separate from the actual registration graduation form to be awarded your diploma. To have your degree conferred on September 1, 2018, please register to graduate within the application submission dates, i.e., February 1 to June 15. See full details on the Graduate Studies Graduation Information Webpage.

$1,000 to $10,000 Scholarships - National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) 2018 Scholarships & 2018 Student Poster Contest - Deadline March 9, 2018
In conjunction with its annual conference, FORUM 2018, NFBPA will again award scholarships to eligible students. The scholarships range from $1,000 to $10,000 and will be awarded during FORUM 2018 which will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, April 18 -22, 2018. To learn more please click here.
