The Bridge Brigade
Spring Break Edition March 30 - April 7
Devotion from Angela Leyba
Matthew 6:25-33
“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?
And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?
And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!
Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’
For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Things to Note for After Spring Break
- Remember to send your LCC notes (or link) to Julie at the end of each week. For our distance learning time, you can include your notes for the week in one running document.
- The third quarter ends on Friday, 3/27. Grading day is April 7th. Report cards need to be completed by 12pm for electives and 5pm for core teachers.
- Continue posting your videos and instruction. You are posting two videos of yourself providing instruction weekly at a minimum. Now that we have figured out the technology, let's figure out the best mode for offering quality instruction to our students.
- We are making schedule adjustments for after Spring Break in an effort to protect your time and lighten your load.
Parent Distance Learning Survey Data
We are regularly surveying parents on their child's distance learning experience. Here are comments from our parents from the most recent survey:
- Very supportive when needed.
- Offering help and responding quickly.
- They are all doing great with adapting, we truly appreciate SOME learning happening - way better than what we are seeing in the public school!
- Very responsive to questions. They are doing well with the technology given how long we have been on distance learning. Trying to help everyone navigate their problems.
- It would be good for teachers to reply to kids email on whether they got the email.
- Our student would like to see more teaching lessons on Zoom in addition to question and answer time.
