Student SCHIVIRS

In an effort to make sure we are recognizing all our students, we are opening up the opportunity for students to nominate their peers when they are seen living out our Pirate Character Traits in our building.

While we are asking students to nominate their peers, we would also love to have you nominate our students as well.

Congrats to PCHS Senior, Jaycie Stubbs, on her selection to the Greater KC Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Team AND All-Academic Team.

She was recognized with other best-of-the-best basketball players in the greater Kansas City area (both MO and KS) on April 11 at the College Basketball Experience in Kansas City. There are 15 players on the All-Star Team and 5 on the All-Academic Team. Jaycie was the only one selected for both.

This week, Jaycie will sign to continue her track and field career at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.

Purple Up for Military Kids - April 18th

The students of military families are resilient and take pride in their service to our country. The month of April provides an opportunity to recognize and honor the students whose families serve our country.
Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military.
It is the combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine red and Navy blue. Our goal is to have a sea of purple all across the halls of PCHS April the 18th.

Thursday, April 18th, Wear Purple Pirates.

We would like to share and highlight our Staff who have been nominated for SCHIVIRS!

Here are the April nominees:

North Cafeteria Staff

STUDENT FOCUS

I would like to recognize the North Cafeteria Staff for their above and beyond efforts when we look to them for help. We encounter daily challenges with different needs and they never fail to provide a solution, with a happy and positive attitude. They are a wonderful staff as a whole, and feel their efforts should be recognized by everyone.

Saturday, April 27, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Join millions of Americans who will safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs at about 6,000 sites across the U.S. The Take Back program is sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Visit takebackday.dea.gov to learn more, including other disposal sites if you miss the Take Back Day. Watch for another Take Back Day in October.
