Cardinal Artists are everywhere
When we think about visual art projects, we assume that they are coming from our art department here at Dodge City Middle School but many teachers in the building understand the importance and educational power of creating unique images. Tuesday, February 16, we highlighted some of the many talents of our Cardinal students at the annual Fine Arts night.
8th grade social studies
Students in Mr. Lee's social studies classes had a display of the varied types of artwork they had produced to illustrate their classroom work.
Industrial technology class
Mr. West's students have created a number of unique pieces including these racers and rockets.
Creative writing
Students in Mrs. Royle's classes have created unique formatting of writing by creating images with their written text.
The lessons are carried beyond DCMS
Former DCMS student, Alexander Brinkley, allowed us to show his sculptures. He started making these wonderful Samurai artifacts when we was here as a Cardinal artist.
The halls were filled with creativity
African masks
the Cardinal Library bulletin board was alive with masks.
the evening began with the play "Princess and the Pea."
thank you to all
It was a wonderful evening of theater, art displays and even some hands on activities. Thank you to Mrs. Stateler for all of her hard work arranging the event and to everyone that participated. It's great to be a Cardinal.
